Welcome to U-C-IAV

U-C-IAV is short for User-based Climate change Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability mapping tool.

U-C-IAV is designed to help users explore different aspects of vulnerability to climate change in Finland and in the wider Nordic region. It was developed at the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE). The following thematic areas are currently represented:

U-C-IAV-elderly (released in March 2014) - vulnerability to climate change among the elderly population in Finland and the Nordic region (Finland, Norway and Sweden)
U-C-IAV-skiing (released in September 2014) - vulnerability of cross-country skiing activities in Finland
CARAVAN prototype (released in January 2011) - prototype of a vulnerability mapping tool focusing on on two thematic areas: agriculture and the elderly.
